Born in 1966 in Belgrade, Dragana Ilić graduated in 1991 from the FLU in Belgrade, at the sculpture department, where she also completed postgraduate studies in 1994, in the class of professor Slavoljub Radojčić. She worked at FLU since 1995 – first as an assistant, then assistant professor and associate professor. Since the end of the 80s, she has exhibited at numerous group exhibitions in the country and abroad, as well as at solo exhibitions in Belgrade, the last major of which was “See you” in the Art Gallery of the Cultural Center of Belgrade in 2016. At that exhibition, she presented series of works New Friends, 4D and Lives of Neighbors – sculptures of portraits and half-figures of friends and colleagues made in majolica and stone. Dragana Ilić is the winner of several important awards for sculpture from the funds of Vladeta Petrić (1988) and Sreten Stojanović (1991), as well as awards from the Youth Biennial in Vršac (1994) and the 35th October Salon in Belgrade (1994).
