On Friday, July 3, the 45th Jubilee International Sculpture Symposium “Terra” was ceremoniously opened in Kikinda. The event began with the opening of the Annual Sculpture Exhibition featuring works from the 44th symposium (2025).
Exhibition Setup
Works by last year’s participants are now on display in the Terra Gallery and on the town square in front of the gallery, giving this space a new visual identity. In addition to the works presented in the open space by artists Uroš Ušćebrka, Petar Barišić, Mihala Julinova, Ansi Taulu, Dezmond Bret, and Milena Milosavljević, a selection of gallery-format works is also on display in the Terra Museum Salon, offering visitors a comprehensive look at the previous year’s production from a different perspective.
Participants of the 45th Symposium
The symposium has officially begun with a new cohort, featuring five artists who will be creating works in the Terra Atelier throughout July:
-
Goce Nanevski (North Macedonia)
-
Raphaëlle Sabattie (France)
-
Milorad Mladenović (Serbia)
-
Branko Milanović (Serbia)
-
Beate Gatschelhofer (Austria)
Organizational Details and Support
The Terra Atelier, housed in a former tile and brick factory, provides optimal conditions for artists to work on large-format sculptures.
The realization of the 45th Terra Symposium is supported by the City of Kikinda, the French Institute in Serbia, the Austrian Cultural Forum Belgrade, Culture Moves Europe, and the Goethe-Institut through artist mobility programs.
Upcoming program activities include a public presentation of the artists on July 11, as well as the “TeraViva” festival, which will take place on July 24 and 25.
Further details regarding upcoming events will be announced soon.
