Workshop in TERRA studio
As part of the World Language Day organized by the Reporting Diversity Network supported by the European Union, SMART Balkans, Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM), Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM), a training workshop in clay was held in Atelier Terra on Wednesday, September 25 with media representatives focusing on current topics: human rights, discrimination, fight against hate speech, gender identity and sexual orientation.
The participants of the workshop wrote the concepts related to the theme of the workshop in the prepared clay squares and applied various motifs. Before the clay workshop itself, introductory speeches were given by Thorsten Afflerbach, Head of the Department for Inclusion and Anti-Discrimination Programs at the Council of Europe, Jelena Kotevic, Head of the Department for Cooperation and European Integration and Commissioner for Protection and Equality, and Svetlana Rakić, Senior Officer for Projects within the Sector fight against discrimination and promotion of diversity in Serbia in the Council of Europe.
The clay workshop was led by Ljubiša Nikolić, Igor Smiljanić and Igor Grandić, artists employed at the Terra Center, as well as Sonja Beloš and Nikola Gajić, young artists from Kikinda, associates of the Terra Center.
After the workshop, the clay plates will be dried and baked in the ovens of the Terra Center, after which they will be placed in the form of a wall collage in the space of the Council of Europe in Belgrade.
