Text from catalogue – …The world created by Jorge Beda takes us into realms of myths and primordial states. In contact with terracotta, his illustrative scenes are immediately enlivened by the power of the primordial material. The figurative world, as well as the abstract world that the figurative only embodies, emerge as a unity excellently expressed in finished clay. As we can see, while retaining certain connections to their previous explorations and creating within their specific poetic orientations, sculptors curiously and interestedly allow certain new layers of meaning in their work, through the combination of material and idea.
