Biography
Peruško Bogdanić
He was born in 1949 in Stari Grad on the island of Hvar. Hes graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1976 in the sculpture class of prof. Vjekoslav Rukljača. He completed his studies at SAD. From 1996 to 2020, he taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. Since 1996, he has been the mentor of the annual sculpting studio, and from 2002 to 2020, the artistic director of the International Student sculpting workshop “Montraker” in Vrsar. He exhibited at numerous individual and group exhibitions in the country and abroad. At the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, he achieved significant pedagogical activities, but in 2020 he was elected professor emeritus of the University of Zagreb.
He participated in numerous sculpting symposiums and workshops. He is the author of sculptures in public spaces in Zagreb, Labin, Kostanjevica na Krka, Sisak, Poreč and Edinburgh. He is the winner of numerous awards and recognitions.
