The 15th TERRA VIVA 2026 Festival Successfully Concluded: Art, Music, and Children’s Creativity at Atelje Terra

Over the weekend, on July 24th and 25th, the fifteenth TERRA VIVA festival was successfully held in the authentic space of Atelje Terra. This year’s edition brought a rich and diverse program to the audience – from film premieres and high-quality musical performances to interactive and educational content for our youngest fellow citizens.

Friday, July 24: A Retrospective on the Work of Mika Antić and Electronic Sounds The first day of the festival began at 9:00 PM with the Kikinda premiere of the award-winning documentary essay “Chained in Freedom” by director Aleksandar Karišik. This exceptional work sublimates the work of Miroslav Mika Antić in the fields of poetry, film, fine arts, and journalism. Following the screening, an inspiring conversation with the film’s director and “Medijakult” award winner was held in front of the Terra Photo Cinema Club, hosted by Nenad Kele Miladinski.

The musical segment of the evening, as part of the Terra Lounge program, followed at 10:30 PM. Antal Šandor Šanjika, better known as DJ Slowhands, one of the pioneers of domestic electronic music, founder of the famous Novi Sad equipment and record store “DJ Shop,” and a long-time resident of numerous clubs in the country and abroad, was in charge of the great atmosphere.

Saturday, July 25 (Daytime Program): TERRAKIDS+ Saturday afternoon was entirely dedicated to our youngest visitors through the TERRAKIDS+ program. The little ones, accompanied by their parents, enjoyed carefully designed content that included interactive animation by the “Lane” Children’s Theater, archery, sculpture and origami workshops, as well as an introduction to space and shapes through a children’s architectural workshop and a thematic quest.

The exceptional response and the joy of the youngest confirm the importance of early cultural education, and we are determined to support and improve the TERRAKIDS+ platform even more strongly in future editions.

Saturday, July 25 (Evening Program): World Premiere and International Musical Finish The evening, closing part of the festival was opened by the world premiere of the video “Inner Oceans” organized by the Terra Photo Cinema Club. The author of this 2026 work is Igor Antić (@igor.antic.art). The twenty-three-minute video is dedicated to an unexplored aspect of Miroslav Antić’s work – his visions of seas and oceans, dealing with the relationships between his artistic and poetic oeuvre through the theme of sailing, crossing distances, great waters, and entirely personal ocean symbolism.

As part of the concert part of the program, author bands performed on stage: Fullmoonfish (@foolmoonfish), Elektroteplo (@electro_teplo), and Auspuff Dolori (@auspuffdolori). As surprise guests, the Kikinda band Les Chanades additionally warmed up the atmosphere. This year’s festival was closed by DJ Kostja (@nisam.muzic) with a dynamic set encompassing techno, phonk, and drum and bass sounds woven with recognizable Balkan motifs.
