Text from catalogue … Aleksandar Bunčić – Currently, the focus of my work is the translation of a virtual sculpture, created in a three-dimensional program, into a realistic form.

Graphism, which he always tries to apply in his work, Bunčić also implemented in the monumental Fox sculpture. The inspiration came from last year’s graffiti that the artist made as a birthday present to his daughter. Dealing with the problem of digital sculpture in virtual space, for the last few years he has been researching and experimenting with sculptures that exist and do not exist at the same time in VR/AR programs. He used the same technology when making a sketch for this geometric depiction of a fox, which he then translated into terracotta. On the other hand, the smaller-format sculptures titled Napalm are made of round shapes, each ending in geometrized peaks with a direct association with flame. When it comes to form, the main leitmotif is a triangle that always leads him to new artistic engagements.
