Born in 1959 in Belgrade, Darija Kačić graduated in 1983 from the painting department of FLU, in the class of professor Radenko Mišević, and in 1986 she completed postgraduate studies at the same faculty with professor Milica Stevanović. In the same year, she was accepted as an assistant for the painting and drawing course at FLU.
She trained in the early 90s at the Rijks Academy in Amsterdam, and in 1994 she used a six-month scholarship from KulturKontakt in Vienna.
She exhibited independently several times in Belgrade, and she had group exhibitions in many cities of the former Yugoslavia, as well as in European cities (Graz, Moscow, Budapest, Carcassonne, Toulon…).
Her works are in public collections (Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, Neue Galerie in Graz, Gallery of Contemporary Art in Subotica…).
