(Marcelo Díaz studied Teaching in Toledo and Psychology in Barcelona. He began his sculptural activity in 1971 in Cardona, which he continued in Moncada and Reixach, and since 1978 in Villarreal; he has also lived in Serbia for a year. He has been a Primary School teacher, professor of Drawing of Secondary Education, and inspector of Education. Within his humanistic vision of things, poetry and sculpture are for him two ways of showing himself based on the same motive, mainly emotional, so that many of his sculptures are related to poems that convey the same experiences. He is a multifaceted artist who has also cultivated painting, novels, theater and cinema.
