The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia declared the Terra studio buildings a cultural monument

At the session of the Serbian government today decided on the formation of the industrial facility “Old tile factory and a brickyard” – Terra in Kikinda cultural monument.
According to its original purpose, the brickyard and tile complex belongs to the group of objects of technical culture, ie industrial heritage, but today it is defined by more than four decades of tradition of holding the international symposium “Terra”, when this space was converted into a sculpture studio.
The building “Old tiles and brickyards” – Terra in Kikinda with authentic wooden dryers, elevators and an old stove with a room for hot air is unique in its environment in terms of preservation, and a new purpose – to hold a symposium of terracotta, with large sculptures on grass surfaces, makes it a unique complex in the country and the region.
