“Verticals in terracotta – variability of the relationship between parts and the whole in large format sculpture” – A PhD Exhibition of sculptures by Igor Smiljanić.

October – November, the courtyard of the Terra studio.

Public presentation of the practical work of the doctoral art project “Verticals in terracotta – variability of the relationship between parts and the whole in large format sculpture” – Exhibition of sculptures by Igor Smiljanić.
“In my artistic research, I deal with the problem of building a large-format sculpture in terracotta, using variability as an elementary principle of building form. Through my sculptures, I develop and define various systems of building a vertical form, exploring the relationships within the sculpture itself, as well as the external relationships with the observer. The exhibition of works “Verticals in terracotta – variability of the relationship between parts and the whole in large format sculpture” was created as a result of six years of research conducted in the studio “Terra” in Kikinda. “- Igor Smiljanic
