Milutin Mićić, solo exhibition @ Terra Gallery

On Friday, September 17, a solo exhibition of sculptures and paintings by the academic artist from Zrenjanin Milutin Mićić was opened in the Terra Gallery

“The idea of the project is to connect archetypes and modernity. Warriors, witches, vampires, and other ale and creatures have been present in various ways from prehistory to the present day. The need for people to act has always existed. And no matter how harmful their actions were to humans. kind, they are always present thanks to people and the world has not existed and functioned without them until now.
At the present moment, I see and experience domestic and world-powerful people as vampires and demons, and I try to expose them in my works. In a broader sense, this project is of an engaged character and calls for rebellion. This rebellion can be individual, but also an organized rebellion with specific activities and goals. My intention and desire are to give new meaning to the quality of free thought and to enable (or regain) a more significant role of artists and art in society because endangering art as a carrier of new ideas and changes in society has been present for a long time and in an increasingly dramatic form.
Painting and sculpture, as traditional art forms, are less and less present in our galleries. I believe that is not good for art. With this exhibition, I also want to show that painting and sculpture cannot disappear. “- the author points out

The exhibition is open until October 13, the working hours of the Terra Gallery are double, Monday-Friday 9 am to 2 pm and 5.30 pm to 8 pm.
