Museum Quarter / Art Market Budapest 2022 / Terra Museum

The international professional public and art lovers had the opportunity to get acquainted with a part of the Serbian art scene at this international art fair in Budapest in the Balna Center (Art Market Budapest) through the performance of galleries and cultural institutions that have profiled program concepts and present the artists they represent.

Since the Art Market Budapest is a leading event for the field of contemporary art in the region, in addition to galleries, the work of cultural institutions in Serbia was presented – the Center for Fine and Applied Arts Terra, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade and the Museum of Contemporary Art Vojvodina.

The fair was about Serbia and Serbian artists, because this year our country had the honor of being the guest of honor at this important event for contemporary art. This is supported by the fact that the 11th consecutive Art Market Budapest was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, Maja Gojković.

The event called “Most Serbia” realized by the Association of Art Galleries of Serbia (AUGS) with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, in addition to nine exhibitors, also included presentations of several art projects and independent initiatives, an exhibition of contemporary Serbian photography, lectures, panel discussions and performance.

A special whole was represented by the museum quarter, within which the Terra Museum had its place, i.e. a video presentation as well as a presentation of the Museum’s Monograph, i.e. a unique collection of terracotta sculptures.
