Terra Center and the City of Kikinda representatives together at the jubilee “10th days of European cooperation”

 

At the invitation of Ms. Anca Lolescu, Executive Director of the Regional Office for Cross-Border Cooperation Timisoara, Sasa Tanackov, member of the City Council for Economy and Investment of Kikinda, and Alexander Lipovan, International Cooperation Manager of the Terra Center attended the jubilee 10th Days of European Cooperation in Sisesta, Romania. discussed with potential Romanian partners the possibilities of cooperation on future projects in the field of cultural heritage protection.

As the project “InclusiveArt Access to Culture for Disadvantage Children and Youth” was selected by the European Commission as a case study as an example of good practice in the field of priority axis of inclusion and presented within this year’s Balkan Traffic program dealing with European cultural diversity, Terra Center was recognized by Romanian partners as a partner with good references for the future IPA cross-border cooperation program.

Interest in the project of cooperation with the Terra Center was expressed by the Intercultural Institute from Timisoara, with which Terra is from 2017-2018. participated in the above-mentioned project as well as Marian Radukan, the head of the commune of Šišesti, within which there is a unique pottery workshop that preserves the ancient tradition of pottery from the Dacian era.

A new call for cross-border cooperation projects of the IPA Program “Romania-Serbia” will most likely be announced early next year, with priority axes: border capacity management, environmental protection and risk management, social and economic development, and protection of cultural heritage and promotion of European values.
