I consider myself privileged and “elected” by Ceramics. I don’t approach this option, this encounter, from a sensorial, humoral, or sentimental perspective. I don’t love ceramics, merely I feel belonging to this world of the shared or the solitary ritual, of the rigor and of freedom within rigor’s limits, of a certain transaction with the essential forces, of play and of pursuits. What motivates me to continue? There are deep and mysterious urges from which I augment my pleasure. Ceramics is a vocational maturity. – Simona Tanasescu
