Biography
Slavko Zivanovic was born in 1961 in Perlez. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, at the Department of Sculpture, in the class of prof. Nikola Janković, 1990. In the same year, he enrolled in postgraduate studies with prof. Vladimir Komad.
He has been a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia since 1989
Since 2004, he has been employed as an independent expert associate for the subject of Sculpture with Technology, at the Department of Sculpture, Art Department of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.
His area of interest and research involves the use of a wide range of materials in the making of sculptures, both in technological and poetic terms. Works on material for a manual (textbook) of Sculpture Technology. He is the leader and implementer of the Student Stone Sculpture Seminar project. He is the organizer of the International Symposium of Stone Sculpture Šumadija granite.
Significant exhibitions: solo exhibition of sculptures at Kolarac People’s University in Belgrade, Space 91, participation in the Japanese Biennale of Art in Ube, participation in the world art exhibition Artiade in Athens, participation in the International Symposium of Sculpture Terra in Kikinda, Bor – Bakar and Marble and sounds in Arandjelovac.
