The Code exhibition project was created in a time of new burdens imposed on humanity, due to wars, pandemics, hunger, increasing pollution of the human environment, inflation, shortages, restrictions on individual rights, mass migrations and the growing fear of a global nuclear conflict. At first glance, the position of art in such circumstances is relegated to the margins of social trends. However, it is exactly the moment when artists have no right to escape as they have always been among the people who are the first to start reconciliation processes and with their works of art they indicate possible ways to overcome crisis situations.

The Code exhibition was created with the idea of triggering conative and emotional processes in the audience. Apocalyptic and dystopian symbols and landscapes act as an alarm and are part of possible narratives. These works shed light on possible courses of events in Europe and the world, regarding the current situation brought to the brink of economic and cultural collapse, and even eventual global conflict. The artist is like a prophet who warns us to embrace the gloomy times ahead, but also to overcome them. The artist offers the key Code: hope and faith, in man, family and home.

Danijela Mršulja Vasić (1979) and Milenko Vasić (1952) are visual artists who, since 2011, have interacted with their poetics and experiences in the artistic collaborative group Dim Tim and they work in different media. They have portfolio of sixteen solo exhibitions, twenty-five group exhibitions and performed several sculptures in public space. They used their paintings as motifs for thirty large-scale murals painted on the walls from Switzerland to Vietnam.

Working in different media, Dim Tim brings into focus its interest in a new way of treating classical fine art categories, such as repetition, accent, construction of composition, image geometry and the psychological effect of symbols. In its artistic practice, Dim Tim comments on new relationships and behavior in modern agglomerations, analyzes alienation and seeks alternative public spaces for exhibiting different artistic practices and promotes new artistic discourses. They are participants in numerous residential art programs and colonies. Their works are in public and private art collections in the country and abroad. They have been awarded several times. They live and work in Belgrade.
