The Peruvian Florence Ponciano is an artist from a faraway world who found himself in Kikinda thanks to Terra. Here, he brought a different spirit to the second drive, emerging under the auspices of a rich tradition and ancient culture that was sedimented in a climate that, from our Balkan and Yugoslav positions, seems extremely interesting and exotic to us. In the plastic sense, Ponciano reduced some traditional forms and motifs to the simplicity and clarity of a strictly controlled geometric assembly. With this, he reached the expression of a completely universal effect, to the widely offered possibilities of acceptance and interpretation of the sculpted forms.
