Sculptor and teacher, born in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire. He studied at Glasgow School of Art, 1949–53, and University of Birmingham’s School of Art Education, 1966–7. Fred Bushe lectured in sculpture at Liverpool College of Education, 1962–9, and Aberdeen College of Education, 1969–79, when he became a full-time artist.
