Biography
Nikola Radosavljević was born in 1991 in Užice. He completed his undergraduate and master’s studies at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, graphic and book studio, in 2015. Doctorate in the studies of the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Department of Applied Arts and Design in 2020, on the topic of the artist’s book and new media graphic practices. In August 2020, in cooperation with the curators of the graphic collection of the National Library of Serbia, he formed the first public library of artists’ books under the umbrella institution of culture in Europe.
He is the recipient of more than twenty different awards and recognitions in the field of drawing and graphics, among which are the Plaque for Contribution, World Biennale of Drawings, Osten, Macedonia, 2017. Award of the World Triennial of Small Format Graphics for Technological Contribution and Artistic Domain, Ural, Russia .
Participated in more than one hundred and fifty collective exhibitions in the country and abroad (Netherlands, Germany, Argentina, China, Switzerland, Russia, Nepal, Macedonia, Hungary, USA, India, Greece, Colombia, Bulgaria…).
So far, he has organized thirty-five independent exhibitions by competition and invitation (Belgrade, Novi Sad, Pančevo, Sombor, Kotor, Subotica, Kikinda…).
Scholarship recipient from several different funds. Participant of the graphics colony “Graphics 2016” and “Graphics 2018”, Center for Culture Smederevo. Finalist of the SUPERSTE Club in the field of visual arts, Erste Bank Foundation for 2014.
Held a series of public lectures on the topic of artists’ books and the application of new media artistic practices: the National Library of Serbia; “Jad” Gallery, Museum of Applied Arts; Small gallery of DKSGa, Novi Belgrade… Participant of the international symposium within the international biennial of graphics, House of Culture in Čačak, public lecture on the topic of Multioriginal – Artist’s book, drawing and audience. Invited guest lecturer at the International Students’ Week, ISWIB, 2019. At the invitation of the REKONSTRUKCIJA festival organizers, performed a series of works in public space, Belgrade, 2019. Finalist of the biennial award for contemporary graphic practices Diego Donati, Italy, 2020.
Part of the convocation of the Vlasina Art Colony in 2019. Ečka, meeting of watercolorists in 2020. Jalovic convocation in 2020.
His works are in important museum and private collections around the world.
