Biography
YIUKO HIHARA – Master’s degree in 1972 at Tokyo University of Art and Music – Department of Sculpture. From 1973 to 1977, he received a scholarship from the French government at the Paris School of Fine Arts. Participated in exhibitions: 1993 at the Jingdezhen International Festival (China). 2004-2007, Special prize at the Palais International Art Symposium (Bosnia). In 2008-2015, the exchange exhibition between Japan and Korea (held every two years in Korea and Japan). 2016. 35th International Terracotta Symposium (Serbia). In 2017, the Ottawa and Belleville (Paris) exchange exhibition. 2018, solo exhibition (Gwangju, Korea). He is currently a member of the Japanese Ceramic Sculpture Association (Tochigi Prefectural Art Association).
